Steadfast Deterrence: preparation

The week from March 3rd to March 7th, the NATO Space COE was at the NATO Joint Warfare Centre to support the ongoing preparation for NATO Exercise STEADFAST DETERRENCE 2025 (STDC25), which will take place at the end of May and will focus on deterrence.

For a week, several hundred participants collaborated to design key events, incidents, and injects that will drive operational dilemmas during the exercise, challenging commanders to make critical decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

There is a real desire among participants to better integrate space into the management of the strategic approach to deterrence.

In STDC25, the NATO Space COE team will lead the Opposing Force side of the Space domain: OPFOR SPACE!
