CYDEF JAPAN
The NATO Space COE was privileged to participate in the International Cyber Defence Conference CYDEF 2024, held from December 4 to 6, in Tokyo, Japan.
The main theme was ‘Co-creation Amidst Threats – Acquiring Practical Skills to Tackle Today’s Challenges with Technology and Collaboration.’ The conference was insightful and thought-provoking, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with institutes and companies focused on cyber defence.
The event culminated, on its second day, with the visit of the Japanese Minister of Defence, General Nakatani.
Lieutenant Colonel Andrea, Chief of Staff of the NATO Space COE, participated in the third panel on the second day, which was dedicated to “Critical Infrastructure Protection – Communication & Information System: Identifying Cyber Threats and Promoting Resilience for Satellite Communications (SATCOM).” In his speech, together with other distinguished panellists, he detailed the cyber threat landscape for SATCOM and explored practical solutions to mitigate the risks from hostile actions.
