The IISS Prague Defence Summit 2026
From 16 to 18 September 2026, Prague hosted the third edition of the IISS (International Institute for Strategic Studies) Prague Defence Summit.
The event bringing together government leaders, senior defence officials, industry representatives, analysts, and experts from across the transatlantic community to discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of European defence.
The NATO Space COE was proud to contribute to these strategic discussions through the participation of our Director, Colonel Patrick Heim, as a panelist in the session: “Defining Europe’s Military Autonomy in Space.”
The session addressed a key strategic question for Europe: how to strengthen military capabilities in space while developing the cooperation, partnerships and frameworks required to support Europe’s security and defence objectives.
