AsterX25
From 17 to 28 March 2025, the NATO Space COE participates in the AsterX exercise, a military space exercise designed to plan and conduct space operations.
The exercise, set in a complex and realistic simulated scenario, aims to foster deep integration, cooperation, and interoperability.
Organized by the French Space Command in Toulouse, France, the exercise is based on a fictitious geopolitical scenario set in a multi-domain environment, drawing inspiration from current and emerging threats.
It involves:
- 170 civilian and military participants.
- 4,000 space objects simulating the space environment.
- 18 space events representing 10 different threat types across the full spectrum of Earth orbits.
This year, the NATO Space COE supports the AsterX exercise by contributing resources to the Lessons Learned team!
